MODULE 3 – MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION, 4 DAYS, 32 H

  • Localisation of faults, i.e. breaks in a link, using an OTDR

MODULE 4 – DESIGN AND PLANNING OF FIBRE OPTIC NETWORKS, 3 DAYS, 24 H

In this unique and practical course you will receive guidance in how to plan and build the network to the end user, the FTTX network. This network is a combination of standard ducts, micro ducts, mini cable and blown fibres and attached to these are network equipment in the form of equipment for the termination, fibre outlets.

As a base, the Fibre Manual SEK 434 edition 2 (English version), approved by CENELEC, will be used.

MODULE 5 – FTTX, DUCTING, 2 DAYS, 16 H

MODULE 7 – DOCUMENTATION, PLAN READING, 3 DAYS, 24 H

  • Overview of existing standards required in different installation situations depending on the extent and complexity, for example branching plans, local networks schedules with disposition of ducting and documentation of measurement results

MODULE 8 – FIBRE BLOWING TECHNIQUE, 3 DAYS, 24 H

  • General information about fibre optic premises networks.
  • Choosing the most appropriate installation routes for micro ducts.
  • Installing, splicing and terminating micro ducts
  • Installation of fibre in micro ducts using a fibre blowing tool
  • Splicing and organising fibres into the joint closure
