When installing a fibre optic network planning has a crucial significance regarding both the function of the network and the cost of the installation and operation. A network that is correctly planned can be extended in the future and saves both time and costs on installation.

No qualifications are required but experience of installation work is an advantage.
On completion of the course the participants should be able to plan access networks based on blown fibre and metropolitan area networks constructed with mini cable or traditional fibre optic cable. Furthermore, the participants should be able to implement projects that are costeffective on installation, efficient in operation and prepared for future extension needs.
- Briefing of choices regarding ducts and types of cable.
- Briefing of products used in ducts, joint cabinets, joint closures and manholes.
- Briefing of usage, installation methods and their consequences.
- Practical exercises.
5 days. Theory combined with practical exercises.
After completion of the course the participant will receive a certificate stating that the holder has basic knowledge of network planning based on fibre optic cables and equipment and is well acquainted with the current quality requirements. The diploma is issued by a qualified instructor.
